30-minute Barre and Yoga combo workout (video)

This barre and yoga combo class will make you break an awesome sweat in 30 minutes. You can do this workout anywhere; all you need is your own body weight and a mat.

Hi friends! How’s the week going? I hope you’re having a lovely morning. Thank you so much for all of your sweet comments and for sharing in the excitement about our new puppy. It’s been so much fun having her here, and she’s verryyyyy generous with puppy kisses.

For today’s post, I have an all-new workout video for ya. This workout fuses two of my very favorite formats together: vinyasa yoga and barre. I love that yoga gives me the opportunity to stretch and create a mind-body connection, and barre makes me shake and burn in the best possible way. This class is the perfect combination of Zen and sweat, and I hope you love it!

Pin this for a rainy day or the next time you’re looking for a low-impact yet challenging at-home workout. As always, check with a doctor before making any fitness changes. Honor your body and modify as needed.

5 Adaptogenic Herbs You Need in Your Life

Adaptogenic Herbs

If you’ve been reading my blogs lately, you know I’ve been really into finding natural solutions to the problems our bodies face, from trouble falling asleep to intense PMS symptoms. And the good news is that these fixes totally exist!

Look, sometimes you legitimately do need prescription medication. I should know, with my hypothyroidism! But if you can give your body what it needs without turning to something synthetic or chemical-y or whatever, I definitely recommend you take that route.

There are so many amazing natural remedies, and we live in a time where science is literally proving how effective these things are. So before you reach for the Tylenol PM or the Midol, try something natural!

One thing I’ve really been blown away by is adaptogenic herbs. I started getting into adaptogens a few years ago, and I’ve been making them a bigger and bigger part of my life ever since!

Adaptogens 101

The name is pretty telling here. Adaptogens help your body adapt. They basically step in to help you recalibrate anytime something would throw your system off, helping you maintain what scientists call homeostasis. If it’s been a while since you studied human biology, homeostasis is pretty much your body staying stable and in balance

When your body’s in homeostasis, it’s able to work its best. It can keep your body temp and fluid levels stable, regulate your hormones, and basically do what it’s supposed to do to keep you feeling good. And adaptogenic herbs are so awesome because they help you stay in that sweet spot!

There are a ton of adaptogens out there, but there are five I’m really happy I incorporated into my routine. They’re all in our new Miss Congeniality boost, so if you want to take them for a spin, add this boost to your life!

Meet the lineup:

Velvet bean (mucuna pruriens)

Nicknamed the “dopa bean,” this adaptogen can help to boost your dopamine levels because it naturally contains a ton of L-dopa. Dopamine – the “Happy Hormone” is a super-important neurotransmitter that plays a role in everything from our blood pressure to our mood. Dopamine literally helps us feel pleasure.

Basically, mucuna pruriens can:

  • Lower our stress levels
  • Help us focus
  • Boost our libido (it’s actually an aphrodisiac)
  • Improves our mood & overall feeling of happiness

Basically, it’s a powerful little adaptogen that can go a long way toward helping your body work its best

That’s why we included mucuna pruriens in Miss Congeniality. As a key ingredient in there, it helps Miss Congeniality do her stress-busting, mood-boosting work.

Ashwagandha

Ashwagandha is a little evergreen shrub that has been used for centuries to treat a ton of different health problems. Some of the notable benefits of ashwagandha include its ability to:

  • Fight stress (it reduces levels of cortisol, your body’s stress response hormone)
  • Reduce the symptoms of anxiety and depression
  • Improve fertility
  • Support and even boost brain function
  • Regulate blood sugar levels
  • Reduce inflammation
  • Lower unhealthy cholesterol levels
  • Help with muscle mass and muscular strength

Pretty impressive lineup, right? So you know we had to include ashwagandha in our LSF boosts. You’ll find it in Miss Congeniality, delivering mental and physical health benefits to help you feel your best.

Lion’s mane

Lion’s mane is a pretty crazy-looking mushroom that Chinese medicine practitioners have used for a long time. That’s because lion’s mane mushroom can:

  • Support a healthy heart
  • Reduce inflammation
  • Fight oxidative stress (in other words, it’s an antioxidant)
  • Help your nervous system bounce back from injury
  • Defend against ulcers
  • Manage diabetes
  • Fight cancer
  • Reduce your risk of dementia
  • Alleviate mild symptoms of depression and anxiety

So, are you starting to see why I’m so excited about adaptogenic herbs and mushrooms? They are seriously SUCH powerful natural remedies, and Lion’s Mane is def no exception — which is why we blended it into Miss Congeniality.

Reishi mushroom

This is another adaptogen with centuries of use. This little mushroom packs a punch with incredible benefits Including:

  • Fighting stress and fatigue
  • Helping you feel more energized
  • Decrease anxiety and stress
  • Treating cancer and pulmonary diseases
  • Moderating your blood sugar levels
  • Fighting oxidative stress in your cells
  • Helping with high blood pressure and high cholesterol
  • Delivering mental health benefits, including reduced depression symptoms

No surprise here: with such a wow-worthy lineup of benefits, Miss Congeniality needed some reishi mushroom in her!

Magnesium

Okay, magnesium isn’t technically an adaptogenic herb, it’s a mineral. But I still wanted to include it here because it functions similarly in your body.

Basically, magnesium helps your body regulate a whole bunch of important processes, including your blood pressure, the way your nerves and muscles function, and your blood sugar levels. Heck, it even helps your body straight-up make everything from protein to your DNA.

Oh, and it can help you sleep better and feel less fatigued during the day, too! That’s why, in addition to putting plenty of magnesium in Miss Congeniality, we also added it to our sleep-supporting boost, Slumber Party.

Adaptogenic herbs and mushrooms, along with nutrients like magnesium, give you an impressive toolbox for giving your body what it needs. They’re such an important part of my daily routine and I’m so happy you can have an easy, fun, and affordable way to add them to your routine too!

Meet Maisey

Hi friends! I hope you had a lovely weekend. Ours was a special one because we got to welcome the newest member of our family.

Meet Maisey.

She’s a mini sheepadoodle and the sweetest, snuggliest, sassiest little goose. Maisey has already made Caro her best friend (Caro is still trying to figure out what the heck is going on) and loves chasing toys, eating, and taking cat naps on the tile at our feet.

Some things about Maisey:

– She enjoys chasing her stuffed bear, squirrel, and dragging her blanket around the house

– She’s already sleeping in our bed

– She also already learned how to ring a bell on the back door when she needs to go out

and she has us all completely in love with her. She’s the perfect addition to our family and we’re all convinced that Bella sent her just for us.

Welcome to the family, sweet Maisey girl.

Friday Faves

Hi friends! Happy Friday! I hope you’ve had a lovely week. It’s been a fast one over here. We finally got some monsoon rain (YESSS) and the girls were at dance and cheer camp. I also taught my first in-person class in over a year! It felt SO GOOD to be back. As much as I’ve loved Zoom teaching for convenience and the ability to teach friends from all over the world, I absolutely missed the magic of in-person interaction. It reminded me of all of the reasons why I love to teach. I’m officially back at it in July, teaching dance cardio, TRX, spin, and core conditioning. I can’t wait!

What do you have going on this weekend? We’re having our weekly pool and dinner night with friends and our new puppy will be here tomorrow!!! The Pilot is flying to pick her up and we’re all anxiously awaiting her arrival. (Except for Caro. She has no idea that a puppy will be jumping on her head, but I think she’ll enjoy having a buddy.) I’d love to hear what you’re up to!

It’s time for the weekly Friday Faves party! This is where I share some of my favorite finds from the week and around the web. I always love hearing about your faves, too, so please shout out something you’re loving in the comments section below.

Random:

Sakara sweatshirt! My friends at Sakara sent me this cozy sweatshirt this past week – it was part of a recent campaign that they did – and it was such a fun surprise. I’m pretty much always wearing a sweatshirt when I’m at home and it’s my new fave. I have some meals coming next week and I always look forward to it.

Snuggle puppy. So many of you recommended this on Instagram and the reviews were excellent. You can add a heating pad for warmth and a battery-powered heartbeat will beat all night. I have no prob sleeping on the floor with our new pup for the first couple of nights, but I’ll report back if this is a game changer.

We ordered some goodies from Chewy for the first time ever and we’ll absolutely be using it more often for the dogs and guinea pigs. They have everything.

-Just had to show you the Father’s Day socks I ordered for the Pilot. So good haha.

Fitness + good eats:

– If you missed out on Fit Team enrollment but still want to try it out, you have the option to try out one month here. If you love it, you’ll have the option to join as a member. It’s an easy way to try it before you commit to the full membership! The new plans go out on Monday and we’ll be rocking a Summer Shred for July. Fast, challenging, fun workouts you can do anywhere. They work with your schedule and you can do them while traveling or home with the kiddos. Get your consistent schedule SET as we head into fall. Try it out with one month here! (Ends tomorrow at midnight)

– We had this shrimp recipe for dinner and loved it. I cooked the shrimp on the stovetop and served with jasmine rice and broccoli. Super easy and the fam all enjoyed it.

20-minute cardio barre workout

Read, watch, listen:

– Take a moment to observe the fact that Hugh Jackman can indeed do anything. (I would lose my mind to see him in Music Man on Broadway.)

– What unexpected relationships have you formed over the past year?

How running to music can combat fatigue

Simple self-care practices for a healthy body, mind, and soul

Fashion + beauty:

– Reporting back on the Summersalt swimsuits. They’re my new favorite suits! I got this ruffle oasis one piece and this animal print top and bottoms.

I haven’t worn the high leg cut bottoms and was surprised to see that they were flattering (you know, when you don’t have a weird shorts tan happening). The fabric of the suits is very high quality – they feel more expensive than they are – and the fit is great. I got a small top and small bottoms in the two-piece and a 4 in the one-piece. (If you’re in between sizes, I would size up for the one pieces. I’m always between a 2 and a 4 and I’m glad I went with the 4.)

Happy Friday, friends!

Your Best Mom Hacks

As a mom with two young daughters, I love learning about and sharing mom hacks. Anything we can do to make this wild journey a little easier, and I’m a fan. I asked for your best mom hacks on Instagram – they’re genius and so helpful!

best mom hacks

I can’t believe the girls are already 9 and 5. (How does this happen?!) This little crew brings me more joy and happiness than I ever thought was possible. They challenge me and crack me up every.single.day. I’ve done the solo parenting thing for stints longer than I’d like while the Pilot’s been away for work, so I’ve definitely come up with a few mom hacks over time. I LOVE mom hacks, life hacks, anything hacks, so anything to make the days easier is welcomed advice in my world.

Especially as the world is slowing “opening back up,” we’re resuming busier schedules and filling our calendar with summer activities. We don’t have regular childcare, and so mom-ing full-time while running a multi-faceted online business is lot to juggle most days. I reached out to you all on Instagram to ask for your best mom/parenting hacks. I will certainly be implementing some of these myself!

Your Best Mom Hacks

“When my kiddo wants a toy I’m not buying, I take a picture of him with it and send to Santa.” (We do this one, too! I say, “Let’s take a picture and add it to your wish list.”)

“I let the kids use bubbles in the kitchen. Then I wipe down the floor and call it clean.”

“Socks for my younger two (6 & 8) go by the front door, not their bedrooms, to put on as we leave.”

“When you strip the beds, use the pillowcase to dust the furniture in the room.”

“I always park near the cart return so it’s quick and easy when I come back to the car.”

“If it’s a choice between two things, I suggest the thing she SHOULD choose second. It always works.” (Why is this always the case?! It totally works)

“I use your car wash hack when I need a minute of peace!” (I still use this one! When everyone’s a little crazy, I’m like, “Hey we need to go wash the car.” As we’re showered in colorful bubbles, the kids ooh and ahh, I get 3 minutes of peace, and we’re all reset after we leave.)

“Make your husband do all the nighttime wake-ups.” (THIS. The rule is whenever he’s actually home, nighttime wakeups are just for him.)

“Apply sunscreen when they’re in their carseats, strapped in.”

“Every kid gets one color of cup for water and that’s the only one they can use all day.” (We need to do this. I find cups all over the house.)

Some of my own favorite mom hacks:

  • Never leave the house without water and snacks for everyone in the car, no matter how far or how long we’ll be driving.
  • Wash their hair the second the get in the tub. This way, if we have to get them out if they’re bickering, etc., everyone is already clean and ready to get out anyway
  • Emergency lollipop. This was a huge one when they were little, but I always had at least one lollipop in my purse. If someone got cranky in the grocery store checkout line, I had NO problem handing them a little sugar to get us through the next 5 minutes. I don’t like to reward tantrums with sweets but sometimes in an emergency, you do what you gotta do. (Now that my kids are older, I’ve slyly handed a mom an emergency lollipop a time or two. On an airplane, I thought the mom was going to kiss me lol.)
  • Always have a couple of band-aids in your purse, too, for your own kids or another kid who may need one.
  • Anything you can pack or do the night before, do it. It makes mornings so much easier when snacks and lunches are already packed, clothes are out, and water bottles are ready to be filled.

More of my mom hacks are here!

Some daily hacks I love

So please: drop all of your favorite mom or life hacks on me! I love them!

Copycat Glow Bowl recipe from Flower Child

Sharing my copycat version of one of my very favorite quick takeout meals: the Glow Bowl from Flower Child! It’s gluten-free, easy to make vegan, and with a little bit of prep work, it’s on the table in less than 20 minutes. Pin this recipe for the next time you need a quick and delicious healthy lunch or dinner option.

Hi hi! How’s the week going? I taught a LIVE TRX CLASS this morning and it felt so.dang.good. It was my first class back teaching in real life and man, I missed it. I think virtual classes have been a great way to stay connected during all of this, but there’s something to be said about the energy of an in-person class. It gave me a much-needed reminder of how much I truly love teaching.

For now, I’m here working on next month’s Fit Team programming (wait list is open if you missed it) and catching a hot yoga class. I hope you’re having a lovely day so far.

Today, I wanted to share a recipe that I forking love. We’re huge fans of Flower Child and make a stop pretty much anytime we’re in Phoenix. I fell in love with their Glow Bowl a couple of years ago, and even though I’ve tried a handful of other recipes, it’s still my #1. It’s pretty much everything you could wish for in a bowl: savory protein, sweet potato noodles with a creamy and spicy almond butter sauce, crisp sautéed veggies, and limes on the side. I’m salivating writing this post.

I’ve had a Flower Child craving a few times and made this at-home version of my beloved Glow Bowl. I figured it was finally time to share the recipe here on the blog!

Copycat Glow Bowl recipe from Flower Child

For this recipe, you need quite a few different veggies but the beauty about it is that you can really use any veg you have on hand! It’s super customizable. Also, feel free to use any protein you love! We usually go for grilled chicken, but it’s also awesome with shrimp, tofu, or tempeh.

What can you use instead of the sweet potato noodles?

Feel free to use zucchini noodles, or any regular cooked pasta noodles. I like the sweet potato noodles because they make the recipe a bit more filling and add a nutrition boost + dose of sweetness.

Can you use peanut butter instead of almond butter in the sauce?

Absolutely! They both taste wonderful and peanut butter gives it a stronger flavor.

Can you make this in advance?

100%. Just store covered in the fridge. When I heat it up the next day, I just add a moist paper towel on top before microwaving. You can also reheat it on the stovetop.

Please let me know if you give this recipe a try!

Ingredients

Veggies of choice:

I like to do carrots, zucchini, snap peas, onion, and bell peppers

Veggie noodles (optional); I like sweet potato noodles

3 cloves of minced garlic

1 teaspoon fresh minced ginger

Salt and pepper to taste

Cooked protein of choice

For the sauce:

2 tablespoons almond butter or peanut butter

1/4 cup avocado oil

1/4 cup coconut aminos (or Tamari)

1 teaspoon honey

1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

Juice of half a lime

Splash of sriracha

Mint, cilantro, cashews, and lime wedges for serving

Instructions

In a large saucepan on medium heat, sauté the veggies, garlic, and ginger, until starting to soften. Season well with salt and pepper.

While the veggies are cooking, make the sauce by whisking all ingredients in a bowl.

Remove the veggies from heat and drizzle with the sauce.

Serve into bowls (or store the rest to enjoy as meal prep lunches) and top with cooked protein.

Add extra sauce, chopped cashews, mint, and cilantro, with lime wedges on the side.

Tell me, friends: what’s your favorite quick restaurant near you? Any places you love to visit on road trips?

Amazon Prime Day Faves

Hi friends! Happy Tuesday! Hope you’re having a wonderful week. I feel like I’m waiting for Christmas or for a baby to be born because our new puppy will be here this weekend. I haven’t been this excited about something in a very long time, and we’re all counting down the days! Let me know if you have any name guesses in the comments! I’m having a bit of a hard time focusing on work stuff right now, but still cranking away and testing Fit Team workouts and studying for Precision Nutrition.

Soooooooo for today, let’s talk about Amazing Prime Day deals. Let’s be real, many days are Prime days in our house lol. It’s been so convenient to order and stock up on things we need, especially over the past year.

Here are some of my favorite deals for Prime Day!

Amazon Prime Day Faves

1.) Bentgo Kids Lunch box

These are the lunchboxes that we’ve used for years. They’re the perfect size and I love that you can pack so many different types of foods in one container, and the lunchboxes don’t leak. They last a very long time, too. Just ordered two new ones for the crew!

2.) The best milk frother!

I use this thing every.single.day and it takes a normal cup of coffee to the next level. I’ll add some collagen, almond milk, and monk fruit, and then froth it up! They’re usually inexpensive, but $15 is a steal.

3, JBL Waterproof Bluetooth Speaker

SWEET deal on the JBL speaker. We use this thing constantly: for outdoor parties, garage workouts, dance parties with the kids. It works extremely well and is waterproof.

4. Eufy vacuum

Get this little magical thing to pick up some of the slack with household chores, especially when you’re constantly vacuuming up dog hair. I have an older version of this, and it’s a daily staple in our house. I’m always amazed by how much dog fur it picks up! I bought ours during Prime Day years ago and it’s still one of my favorite appliances.

5. 11-pack of resistance bands

If you’re looking to make home workouts a little spicier, a tiny band packs a serious punch. I LOVE using band loops in my lower body workouts, especially because they can help add more emphasis to outer thighs and glutes. This is an amazing deal; you get 11 bands for $14. They’re also a wonderful travel workout tool because they’re so compact and lightweight.

6. This padded longline sports bra

I have a few of these because the fabric is amazing and they have so many colors! They feel like lululemon quality with a price point of $19-24. The fabric is thick and supportive. You won’t regret it.

7. An air fryer!

This one is different than the one we have, but it has excellent reviews. As one of the very last air fryer adopters on the planet, it’s changed my life. Frozen fries are the perfect mix of crunchy and soft, BBQ chicken wings get devoured, bacon became restaurant-quality, and everything cooks SO much faster.

8. Makeup remover face towels

I have similar ones and LOOOOVE them. They can take off most (sometimes all) of your makeup without the need for cleanser. These are under $6.

9. Stasher bags

Just ordered another pack for back-to-school. These are our favorite reusable bags. I constantly use them for on-the-go snacks, packed lunches, and they wash beautifully. (I use dish soap and water and they dry them with a cloth.) They are amazing quality and such an easy way to be little more green in your routine.

10. Kindle Oasis

I’ve been reading a lot more books this year and don’t love reading on the iPad or my phone. It’s easy to get distracted and check Instagram or do other things. It’s also a pain when I want to read somewhere else and I have to lug the iPad with me. I’m thinking about upgrading to a Kindle – you can adjust the warm light!- and might finally go for it. Does anyone have this one?

Are you shopping Prime Day? What are some of the best deals you’ve found? Please share the love in the comments section below.

Have a wonderful day and I’ll see ya in the morning with a new recipe!

Secrets to My Healthy Daily Routine

daily routine

Ahhh!! I feel like I can breathe again. I’ve been DYING to tell you guys about our nutrition lineup for so long, and it’s so exciting to finally have it out there! I hope you guys absolutely love it. I’ve been using the products for a while now and I’m telling you, they’re making such a big difference for me!

It’s like: finally. The whole reason we developed our LSF nutrition line was because I was looking for products like these — clean, nutritious ingredients to help me feel my best — and I just couldn’t find them! Now that our protein powder and boosts are on the table, I feel like my routine is so much easier and so dialed in. It’s awesome!

And I want you to feel the same way about your own healthy routine. But I know the hardest part of getting any routine set is just starting it. So I wanted to share day to help give you some ideas to build your own perfect healthy routine.

Here’s a look at my average day:

First thing in the morning

First things first, I wake up and have celery juice on an empty stomach. This gives my body a quick hit of nutrients and gets my digestive system working to set me up for a healthy day.

Next up, I make a big cup of coffee with Miss Congeniality and a little unsweetened almond milk. I love starting the day with this boost because she helps to banish any fatigue and bump up my mood for a great day ahead. Plus, she fights stress — so if I’m heading into a day with a lot going on, I feel more balanced about it. And, I mean, she tastes like creamy vanilla, so she’s the perfect addition to my morning cup without adding sugar or any other nasties into my day.

Smoothie for breakfast

I love doing a smoothie for my first meal of the day because it’s quick, easy, filling, and easy for my body to digest. You can really do your smoothie with whatever you want.. Seriously, this is such a great way to fight food waste! Have some lettuce wilting in your fridge, or a zucchini that’s about to turn? Toss it in the blender!

I also have so many amazing recipes in my nutrition plans for you, but one of my favorite smoothie combos lately has been almond milk, spinach (doesn’t matter if it’s a little wilted!), banana, peanut butter, and LSF plant protein in vanilla.

That last bit is really the key. A smoothie’s a great way to start the day, but adding protein to it makes it so much more useful. For starters, it gives my body fuel to move through my daily routine. Beyond that, the protein helps you stay fuller longer so you’re not famished by your 10 am meeting. And our protein powder gives you a whopping 20 grams of complete, plant-based protein in a single serving with 0 grams of sugar so you can really gear up for your day.

Midday

Do you ever get that midday craving for something? Like, you’re not even hungry, you’re just bored?

I def do, so I’ve been mixing a little Wing Woman into some water for a little pick me up. It takes the water my body needs (and I know I should be drinking) and turns it into a fun treat that tastes like berries and pomegranate! Part of building a daily routine is listening to your body and knowing what it REALLY needs.

Wing Woman gives me a little pick-me-up, plus a huge immunity boost. She’s got tons of vitamin C and D, loads of antioxidants, and a whole bunch of other health-boosting ingredients. So I feel like I had a little treat and I treated my body right at the same time!

Post-workout

Recovery is my number one focus post workout so I always get in my protein and some foam rolling while my body is still warm and make this a priority in my daily routine.

Having protein right after your sweat sesh helps your muscles recover and grow, which means you’ll feel better after your workout and see better results. Pretty sweet, right?

And girls, I gotta tell you, the chocolate LSF protein tastes so good that it makes it a cinch to get 20 grams of the good stuff in right after your workout. I mix it in a little water or nut milk and get this delicious beverage to help my body bounce back after I exercise — so I can be ready to hit it tomorrow and keep working toward my #goals!

30 minutes before bed

I’ve already talked a lot about my nighttime routine. There’s a ton to be said for dialing in this part of the day so you get good rest. Sleep helps you feel energized (obv), but it also helps your muscles recover, makes it easier for your body to fight illness, and does a ton of other important stuff for you. So it’s really worth putting in some effort to make sure that by the time your head hits the pillow, you’re ready to doze off.

And I’ve found that our new Slumber Party boost helps with this soooo much. It has a ton of sleep-supporting ingredients, like chamomile, melatonin, and valerian root. Plus, it helps to fight inflammation and boost muscle recovery while you sleep so you wake up feeling awesome! We’ve made it delicious with natural creamy vanilla and natural cocoa, but I like to mix in a little cinnamon now and then to really make my bedtime routine feel like a treat.

My healthy routine isn’t too complicated. It’s all about sticking with the things that make me feel good. And I hope trying some of this out will help you feel your best, too!

I was dealing with a lot of symptoms from my hypothyroidism and other just life issues like hormones, sleep, stress, and immunity and wanted to find a way to feel better without taking a million different pills every day. I’m a routine girl. I love little rituals and I love finding ways to slow down and enjoy my day so I created a line of wellness boosts to add to your daily routine so you can feel incredible and enjoy the journey.

Miss Congeniality

Feeling stressed or tired? Dealing with crazy PMS symptoms, struggling to focus, or just feeling generally down? Girl, let me introduce you to Miss Congeniality, which we’ve formulated to address literally every single one of those issues.

It’s what’s on the inside that counts:

  • Zinc
  • Magnesium
  • Goji berry
  • Ashwagandha
  • Reishi mushrooms
  • Lion’s mane
  • Mucana Pruriens

She is really really talented:

  • Boosts your mood
  • Fights stress & fatigue
  • Improves your energy levels
  • Supports brain function and your ability to focus
  • Relieves mild symptoms of depression
  • Reduces PMS symptoms

Oh, and she has anti-aging properties and can give your libido a boost, too!

How to use her

Throw her in your coffee, mix her up in steamers, smoothies, or any other way you want to enjoy!

Slumber Party

Getting those zzzzz’s helps your body recover, regulates your hormones, helps you manage stress, and impacts your weight. But, if you’re like me, it’s hard to get a goooood nights sleep. I made Slumber Party to help us all asleep faster, stay asleep longer and wake up ready to take on the day!

sleep boosts, immunity boosts, sleep better, how to sleep better, better sleep naturally, natural sleep supplements

What she’s made of:

  • Magnesium to support muscle recovery
  • L-theanine & GABA to reduce anxiety and promote relaxation
  • Valerian root & Melatonin to help you fall asleep & improve quality of sleep
  • Chamomile reduces stress & inflammation

You may have tried some of these on their own, but Slumber Party blends them all together in just the right amounts to help you get a great night’s rest and wake up feeling amazing!

How to use her:

Mix her up in warm milk or water for a yummy hot cocoa or add her to a bedtime protein shake or snack.

Wing Woman boost

Ever wish you could give your body a little something extra to help it stay healthy? Something that tastes delish, has zero sugar, and can help you drink more water throughout the day too? You can, and her name is Wing Woman! She’s your ultimate defender. That girl you can always count on to have your back and make sure you stay on your A game.

  • Zinc and antioxidants to keep your cells happy & healthy
  • Immune boosting superfoods like echinacea, elderberry, and ginseng root
  • Antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, thanks to goldenseal

Basically, if you want to be the strongest, healthiest version of yourself, it’s time to get a Wing Woman. We made her with natural berry and pomegranate flavors so you can keep her by your side anytime. Add her to your water, boost your morning smoothies, or throw her in a cocktail! Yep… she’s that good!

Best YouTube Fitness channels

Sharing some of my favorite channels for free YouTube workouts online.

Hi friends! Happy Monday! I hope you’re having a good morning so far. I’m doing the usual studying for Precision Nutrition and looking forward to cooling off at the pool later. It’s that lovely time in Tucson when you should probably hide out in a pool or AC.

Last week, I did a poll on IG to see if you were still working out at home or had gone back to a gym or studio since it reopened. A majority of you said you were still working out at home! While I definitely missed the energy of group fitness, I have fallen in love with home fitness again. I forgot how convenient it is to work out at home without needing to *get dressed.* You just grab your equipment and go for it! (The kids are awesome while I get in a short workout. They play together or watch a show, and then they know we’ll usually head out to do something fun as soon as I’m done.)

Today, I wanted to share some of my favorite YouTube channels for workouts since so many of you are still working out at home! (Also, if you’re rocking the home workouts join Fit Team – last call!! I was supposed to close it last night but am giving an extra 24 for those who missed it. I’m not sure when I’ll open enrollment again and you will loooove it.)

Best YouTube Fitness channels

1. Fitness Marshall

Fitness Marshall is one of my #1 choices when I just want to move and have a ridiculous smile on my face the whole time. His dance cardio videos are a blast and he cracks me up. If you need a mood boost, put on some Fitness Marshall workouts for 10-15 minutes and it will turn your whole day around.

2. Yoga with Adriene

I LOVE Yoga with Adriene, especially because she doesn’t try to “talk like a yoga teacher.” (You know what I’m saying, right?) She talks like a normal person, and has wonderful flows and cues. She has a lot of different types of classes on her channel and classes range from restorative and very beginner level so more advanced flows.

3. Jessica Valant Pilates

Jessica is a great friend of mine and I look up to her so much. She’s so knowledgeable and real, and her amazing YouTube channel is a reflection of the type of person she is. She has a variety of workouts on her channel, with an emphasis on corrective exercises (she’s a physical therapist) and Pilates. Definitely check it out.

4. Nicole Pearce

Nicole is another friend, and I love her style of teaching. She teaches Megaformer classes and group fitness, so I feel like a lot of her class designs are intended to make you BURN and challenge you to the max. She uses a lot of compound exercises, pyramids, and tiny pulsing movements. Check her out here.

5. Bad Yogi

Another friend shoutout 🙂 Erin is amazing and I also love her style of teaching yoga. She reminds me of Adrienne in the sense that she talks to you like a normal person. She also uses corrective fitness and strategic designs in her classes, which range from yoga for back pain, happy hips, yoga to wake you up, and balancing flows. If you’re looking for a unique twist on traditional yoga classes, she’s your girl.

6. MadFit

MadFit has dance cardio, short strength workouts, one-song workouts, stretch, and HIIT. I haven’t tried a ton of videos from her channel, but I really like her dance cardio style. It’s the perfect workout when you want to get in some movement but don’t necessarily feel like an intense HIIT class or run.

7. Popsugar Fitness

The Popsugar Fitness channel has a huge variety of workouts, from yoga and barre, to HIIT, strength, core work, Pilates, pretty much everything you can wish for. The only problem is a lack of consistency to the quality of these workouts. Some of them are excellent, while others are meh. I love the variety but haven’t loved all of the classes I’ve tried.

8. Kayla Itsines

Kale Itsines is the queen of cardio-heavy circuit workouts. They’re all quick (around 28 minutes) and combine a mix of cardio and strength work using dumbbells or bodyweight. I feel like the workouts always look easy on paper but when you try them, they’ll kick your booty. Her channel mostly consists of workout tutorials for the full workouts.

9. Coach Kel

Coach Kel has a great mix of barre workouts on her channel. They’re more dancer-based than classic barre (different than Physique57 or Pure Barre) but are challenging and she gives great cues. I also like that she doesn’t have an over-the-top fitness personality – sometimes YouTube fitness instructors are a liiiiiittle too high on the faux energy for me if ya know what I mean.

10. Shamless plug here for my own YouTube channel!

If you’re looking for new barre, quick HIIT or total body, or ab burners, subscribe to my channel here!

So tell me, friends: what’s your favorite YouTube channel for workouts? Any fitness instructors you LOVE? Shout it out in the comments!
