Summer Shape Up 2023 Winners!

Our team is continuously impressed by our LSF community. All the women in this community worked their butts off in this challenge and we are so proud of each and every one of you! You all finished this 6-Week Challenge strong which will help to create amazing habits that will last a lifetime. Thank you for pushing yourselves and our community to be the best we can be! 

We wanted to bring back the intensity with this challenge- in our workouts, our nutrition, our weekly prizes, and most importantly, our grand prize (a free trip for two to HAWAII)!! We brought back Accountability Groups to connect members with each other & lean on each other for support during the 6 week challenge. We introduced new videos in the MOVE app, all focused on specific areas of the body to really feel that burn. We also re-introduced weekly giveaways for our #teamlsf community who remain the most loyal and supportive fitness community to exist! 

Now it’s time to shout out our SSU23 winners! These inspiring women, not only have incredible transformation photos but the most heart warming stories!

Dara’s story:

“I was so excited for this summer shape up cause it was lining up with me jumping into some new fitness goals. I have been working out pretty consistent, but I wasn’t seeing much change anymore. I was feeling like maybe I will never reach my goals.”

“We started the challenge the day I went to camp…I thought that was gonna be hard. I did pack lots of heathy snacks, and all my LSF nutrition went with me to help temptations go away. Then stared over on the 14 day shape up meal plan to just really detox and help my body after camp. It felt so good! Then for our beach trip a couple weeks ago I looked at the meal plan, and we pack the food for the menu that week.”

“My dad is like how much longer do you have to eat like this. Cause he loves his french fries… and not the sweet potatoes one. I would say “forever” then laugh. I said this is going to continue when the challenge is over. I want this to be a lifestyle. I had my mom and grandma doing the daily 10 every night and eating the meal plans. It was so awesome cause they are both trying to lose weight. It has been so awesome making progress as a family and seeing us get stronger physically but also mentally.”

“I liked accountability groups cause it made it less overwhelming. I would set time aside each day to go through the #teamlsf cause all those smiles and ugh faces lol motived me to keep going, and cheering girls on.”

Natasha’s Story

“I have always said this is my forever journey and it is, but sometimes we hit a bump in the road and have to patch it and get back on. I was already not feeling like myself from not losing 20 pounds of my weight from having first child, then adding on another 22 pounds I didn’t loose from my second child. Weight is just a number but I was tired everyday and had no energy. I want my minis to see me as a positive role model.”

“When I saw this challenge, I wanted to feel like myself again. I wanted to be happy, feel good in my clothes, and most importantly, take care of my family. I was determined to give myself that self love, because I am a happy person. I am beyond blessed that GOD gave me this beautiful body to move in. I now have the energy to chase my family around and to be the best version of me for me and them. Don’t ever underestimate your mind and body. When I started this challenge, I was wondering how I would do it with two kids. It wasn’t easy at first and there are still hard days but it got to where my little guy loved working out with me every day, and they saw how happy I was becoming back to myself. Building a routine again has made my heart and soul so happy.”

“I have learned that it’s ok to have me time to be the best version of me. I truly believe working out is like medicine. It took away my depression, anxiety, and body aches. I just want to say from the bottom of my heart that I cannot think this community enough for giving me my life back.”

Kim’s Story

“First of all I want to start by saying Summer Shape Up absolutely changed my life. I have done other LSF challenges before but got off track for awhile after my break up and after seeing posts about SSU starting I decided to go for it!”

“This challenge was EVERYTHING that I needed to get back on track with a healthier lifestyle. SSU and Teamlsf motivated me to show up EVERY single day to workout and make a healthier lifestyle. Each day I felt stronger and more motivated to keep up with this new healthy routine that I made for myself. I started working out everyday before work because I knew mentally and physically I would feel better.”

“I ended up loosing 9 pounds from this challenge but the most important change to me is that I not only feel better physically but most of all mentally. I am using the HBMP and The move app to continue this healthy lifestyle even though SSU has ended. I am so thankful for Katie & Teamlsf for everything they did for me during this challenge because I am officially a happier and healthier version of myself thanks to them and SSU!”

Amber’s Story

“I’ll be 6 months postpartum Sunday 27th and after having my first baby everything was new to me. My body, my emotions, my habits (or lack thereof) and I knew I needed something to give me a push. So, I went to my tried and true LSF where I knew I could make a difference if I really tried. The SSU challenge came at a perfect time as I was feeling a little stuck and self conscious in my new body that I was proud of and ashamed of all in one. Which in return made me feel for shaming a body that just created something incredible. That’s where the negative spiral began. So, SSU comes around and it was perfect. I loved the new accountability guidelines so everyone can really show their hard work and the groups were a fun added bonus!”

“I did my best with my baby and decided it was time to stop making excuses. When she had her first nap, that’s when I would workout and if that fell through, I promised to get it done at night. There was a total of 4 days I took as a complete rest day through the whole challenge. I learned to listen to my body and put my mental health first so the rest would follow. And wow did it ever!! I kept to my routine, followed guidelines of the HBMP, Guiltless Nutrition guide, LSF protein (the best) and of course, encouragement from the wonderful community. These girls are so strong, beautiful, kind and motivating. It’s not often you find that these days (especially online) and I can confidently say I believe that’s how LSF thrives so dang much!! It’s the epitome of women supporting women (plus Ryan+Luke lol) and the word grateful is an understatement.”

“My photos are worth 1000 words to me because I didn’t truly realize my change until I saw them. I didn’t step on the scale at all as that was a demon of my past and I focused on how I felt. Clothes fit better, felt much stronger, my mood was heightened and I was feeling beautiful again. Not because of the image, but because of the transformation within. I’m so proud of how far I’ve come in only 6 weeks and I already can’t wait for the next challenge with everyone. Thank you, thank you for always being my place of comfort and motivation all in one.”

PINK HEART RECIPIENT

Our Pink Heart Award goes to a member in the #teamLSF community who not only stayed dedicated to their own fitness journey, but was also extremely encouraging of her fellow #teamlsf babes! Every challenge we ask members to submit people who motivated them and was a source of positivity and encouragement throughout the challenge. 

By far the member who received the most shoutouts was Cambria D. (@motivated_mama_lsf). Cambria lost 10 pounds herself! Thank you Cambria for being so encouraging to everyone in the #teamlsf community throughout this challenge!

Can you even believe it? Our 6 week Summer Shape Up challenge is over, but girlfriend – you are JUST GETTING STARTED. Whether you are trying to maintain your weight loss or keep pushing yourself further, this is how to make it happen this fall.

Finding Your Balance

Maintaining your results doesn’t mean sticking rigidly to the same routine forever. It’s about finding the right balance between sticking to the foundational habits you’ve built during the challenge and being flexible to make adjustments that make sense for your lifestyle.

Schedule Your Workouts

It doesn’t have to be the same time every day, but schedule your MOVE workouts into your week ahead of time to ensure it’s non-negotiable part of your routine. If you need to change it, that’s ok, but reschedule it in the moment. Don’t wait to “figure it out later.” It’s too easy to let that time slide if it’s not planned.

Mix It Up…The RIGHT Way

Progress comes from repetition, but that doesn’t mean doing the same exact workout day after day. The programs in MOVE are designed to give you the best balance of training styles while still providing flexibility. Try out the new videos, take your workout outside, join Katie’s live workouts, or checkout a new class with a friend on your cardio days. Keeping it fresh can help you stay inspired and prevent any boredom from creeping in.

Live Guiltless

While it’s totally fine to indulge occasionally, it’s equally crucial to maintain a balanced diet if you want to maintain your weight loss progress. The Hot Body Meal Plan is incredible to help lay the foundation for you and it’s what I always go back to when I want to reset, but the Guiltless Recipe Book will give you so many tools to help you find a healthy every day balance. Keep the Fire Burning

A positive mindset is the driving force behind maintaining long-term results. Continue to celebrate your achievements, both big and small, and remind yourself of the incredible progress you’ve made. Fall In Love With The Process

This is a journey. You have to learn to embrace the process, embrace the changes, and embrace the incredible woman you are becoming.

Remember, maintaining your results is about finding balance, being adaptable, and enjoying the journey every step of the way.

Guiltless Chicken Pesto Pizza

Pizza is one of those foods I thought I had to give up when I was trying to lose weight, but it’s not true! I just had to learn how to make recipes like this so i could enjoy my favorites without the extra grease and excess junk.

That’s exactly why I created my Guiltless Recipe ebook. It has over 135 guilt-free recipes (including desserts & cocktails!) plus everything I learned over 2 years to help you create a healthy, balanced lifestyle you love.

My guiltless Chicken Pest pizza was one of the first pizza’s I made (after trying it at healthier takeout spot) and is still my go-to when I get a pizza craving so let me show you how it’s doneπŸ‘‡πŸ»

Guiltless Chicken Pesto Pizza

Ingredients:

  • 1 pre-made cauliflower crust (or your crust of choice)
  • 1/2 cup of your favorite pesto sauce (I use my lemon-pesto from my Guiltless Recipe Ebook)
  • Grilled chicken breast, thinly sliced (because protein is a must)
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved or 1/2 cup sun dried tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup pine nuts
  • 1/2 onion, gilled
  • Crumbled feta cheese
  • Fresh basil leaves
  • A pinch of crushed red pepper

Instructions:

  1. Preheat and Prep: Start by preheating your oven to 450°F (232°C). While that’s heating up, sprinkle a touch of flour on a clean surface and roll out your pizza dough into your desired shape. It’s your pizza canvas – get creative!
  2. Spread the Flavor: Grab that pesto sauce and generously slather it all over your pizza dough. Think of it as your guilt-free flavor foundation.
  3. Chicken Power: Lay out those thinly sliced grilled chicken pieces on top of the pesto-covered canvas. Protein boost? Check!
  4. Tasty Tomato Distribute those halved cherry tomatoes and onion all over.
  5. Gimme that Crunch: Sprinkle those delightful pine nuts all around for a texture that’s nutty and nice.
  6. Feta Frenzy: Time to introduce the star of the show – crumbled feta cheese. Sprinkle it generously over the pizza, adding that creamy and tangy punch we all adore.
  7. Into the Oven: Slide your pizza into the preheated oven and let the magic unfold. About 12-15 minutes should do the trick, resulting in a golden crust and melty cheese perfection.
  8. Basil Beauty: Once your pizza emerges from the oven looking on point, sprinkle torn fresh basil leaves on top.
  9. Embrace Guilt-Free Goodness: Slicer it up and remember, this is a guilt-free zone, so savor each bite!
